Zu-Zero Series Per Club: Dahmen Is Expanding The Record And Overtakes Atubolu

Since Finn Dahmen was promoted to FC Augsburg at the turn of the year, the Fuggerstädter has been doing the best defense in Europe’s top leagues (for the international design table). The 26 -year -old goalkeeper kept a white vest in the last six games and has not conceded a goal for 613 minutes – not just Augsburg record. Dahmen also climbs further in the Ranking Pro club and has reached the top 5 because Noah Atubolus series has been torn for SC Freiburg.

The last player who was able to overcome Dahmen was his team -mate Noahkai Banks by the own goal in the 17th minute at 1-1 against FC St. Pauli in early February. The record in the Bundesliga belongs to Timo Hildebrand, who remained a total of 885 minutes in the VfB Stuttgart jersey from May to October 2003. It took until the 9th matchday of the 2003/04 season before the ex-DFB goalkeeper had to grab behind for the first time-Bremen’s Angelos Charisteas scored the goal.

But not only FC Augsburg can show a considerable series without a goal, but also SC Freiburg. Atubolu kept a white vest in six games and overtook Richard Golz during the duel with RB Leipzig (0-0), who stayed without conceding 510 minutes in the 2000/01 season. On the 26th matchday, Atubolu had to grab behind after 609 minutes. The U21 national goalkeeper was overcome in Mainz (2: 2) in the 34th minute by Jonathan Burkardt.

In the current season, five other Bundesliga clubs have set a record: Péter Gulácsi for Leipzig (510 minutes), Nikola Vasilj for St. Pauli (287), Frederik Rönnow for Union Berlin (284), Kevin Müller for Heidenheim (217) and Timon Weiner for Neulstein Kiel (155).
