The transfer of Piotr Zieliński (30) to Inter Milan is now formally complete. The Italian league association was the first to confirm the transfer. The Polish European Championship participant comes on a free transfer from Serie A competitor SSC Napoli, where Zieliński’s contract expired on June 30. He has reportedly signed with the Nerazzurri until 2027, including an option for a further year.
With a market value of 22 million euros, Zieliński is one of the most valuable free transfers in Inter’s history. Only three players are ranked ahead of the midfielder, including Marcus Thuram (26), who played for Borussia Mönchengladbach until last summer.
Zieliński had played 364 games for Napoli since 2016 (51 goals/46 assists) and won the 2020 Coppa Italia in addition to the 2023 championship. Last January, he was dropped from the Champions League squad after deciding against an extension with Gli Azzurri.

In addition to Zieliński, Inter was also able to secure the services of offensive talent Luka Topalovic (18). The Slovenian U19 international comes from his hometown of NK Domzale, for whom he contributed three goals and six assists in 49 matches.
