Lazar Samardžić is moving from Udinese Calcio to Atalanta Bergamo in Serie A. The 22-year-old midfielder will be loaned to the league rivals with an obligation to buy, as the Bianconeri and the Europa League winners announced. The total package for the transfer is reportedly a fair market value of 20 million euros, to which an additional 5 million euros can be added.
Samardžić moved from RB Leipzig to Udinese from the Bundesliga in August 2021 for 3 million euros. The Berlin native was trained in his hometown at Hertha BSC, where he only played 32 minutes in three short appearances for the professionals until 2020. In Leipzig, he then played 244 minutes, spread over nine games. Samardžić was only able to increase his market value in the last three years: from 3 million to 20 million euros. The Serb managed 13 goals and ten assists in 98 competitive games for Udinese.
