The delicate moment that Rome is going through was no excuse for not paying its particular tribute to one of its own. And, after the tough episode they suffered during the Fiorentina-Inter match, the Olimpico turned their attention to the previous duel against Atalanta with their youth player Edoardo Bove, currently on loan to the ‘viola’ team.
During the entire warm-up, and when leaving the locker room, all the Roma players wore a t-shirt in support of the young 22-year-old Italian midfielder. On it, you could read a message that read “Forza Edo.” Furthermore, at the moment the match began, the video scoreboard showed an image of Bove himself during one of the 92 games that the ‘giallorrossi’ youth player wore the first team shirt.
Captain Gianluca Mancini stood in front of the DAZN microphones to send his particular message: “They were bad hours because from a distance we did not know what was happening. Fortunately during the night and this morning they told us that Edo is fine and this is what most importantly. We have seen him grow here with us and we wish him a world of love.
The Olympic stands did not want to be outdone and displayed a banner commanding one of their funds in support of Bove himself, with whom the fans maintained a special bond as he was a man of the house to whom Mourinho gave the opportunity to fulfill his dream in May 2021. Mou himself, in fact, also contacted his father.
