FC Stade Rennes pulled the ripcord after five defeats in a row and separated from coach Jorge Sampaoli. The 64 -year -old Argentine has only been in office since November. It takes over Habib Bèye, who had trained Red Star FC in the third division until last summer.
Sampaoli had been the successor to Julien Stéphan in November, but could not tear the helm around in a disappointing season. He only won three wins from ten games and lost seven. Rennes slipped further in the league and is now on relegation place 16 (to the table). For Bèye, Rennes is the first coaching station in a first or second league. At Red Star FC, he had reached a point cut of 1.76 in 107 games and reached Ligue 2 last season.
