Join us for all the build-up and action as it happens from today’s four Serie A games, Torino–Atalanta, Fiorentina–Venezia, Roma–Empoli and Napoli–Bologna.

Week 2 has already provided some surprises, as Milan and Lazio lost away to Parma and Udinese respectively.

We begin today at 17.30 UK time (16.30 GMT) with Atalanta changing rapidly for the trip to Torino and Fiorentina welcoming new boys Venezia.

At 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT), Napoli try to get over their humiliating opening defeat by hosting ambitious Bologna, while Roma celebrate Paulo Dybala against Empoli.

Fiorentina off target

Moise Kean give and go with Kouame, but he drills it well wide from the edge of the area.

Atalanta chance

Ederson surges forward, Tameze thinks he has done enough to block him off, but the Atalanta man still gets a shot away from close range and Vanja Milinkovic-Savic parries with a boot at the near post!

Quite a lot of early possession for Venezia in Florence. They had taken an early lead against Lazio before falling apart and losing 3-1.

Strange one from Linetty. He robs Pasalic in possession, looks up to see where he can pass and sort of forgets where the ball is…

Duvan Zapata bursts through himself this time, goes down under pressure from Ederson, but nowhere near enough for a foul, let alone a penalty.

Torino chance

Duvan Zapata flicks on the ball with his back to goal, sending Lazaro clear, but he fires over under pressure from Zappacosta!

Bright Fiorentina start from Parisi, who bursts down the left, but then shoots straight at the goalkeeper.

Alfred Duncan is back in Florence facing his old club, not a very nice way to say hello to old teammate Kouame, barging him off the field…

1′

Big hug between Gasperini and Vanoli on the touchline.

Out come the teams in Florence and Turin.

A reminder that Fiorentina‘s stadium is having restructuring work, so large sections are closed to the public.

Mandragora celebrates milestone

Torino banner in the stands reads: ‘Only for the shirt’

That means no players, no coaches and definitely no Presidents matter.

Atalanta still buying

In case you missed it, Atalanta set to sign Juan Cuadrado and Rui Patricio as free agents tomorrow. Juan Musso is heading to Atletico Madrid.

Tuttosport now suggesting the number of Torino fans protesting to get Cairo out reached 15,000.

Fiorentina-Venezia team news

Marin Pongracic is suspended after his red card against Parma, with Albert Gudmundsson not yet ready to debut. It looks like a 3-4-2-1 with Biraghi in central defence, but might not be. Lots of changes from midweek 3-3 Conference League draw with Puskas Akademia.

The Lagunari miss Mato Jajalo, Gianluca Busio and Bjarki Bjarkason, with Joel Pohjanpalo fit for the bench.

Jay Idzes and Antonio Candela return from bans, but Tanner Tessmann is frozen out pending a transfer. Unsurprisingly, Svoboda is dropped after several howlers against Lazio.
