With a market value of 35 million euros, Adrien Rabiot is by far the most valuable player who is currently without a club. The 29-year-old Frenchman was recently linked with a move to the Turkish Süper Lig and the Saudi Pro League. However, neither option seems to suit the midfielder.
According to a report by the Spanish “Mundo Deportivo”, which is looking into Rabiot’s personality due to rumored interest from FC Barcelona, the left-footer prefers to stay in the top European leagues. Rabiot has rejected offers from Turkey and Saudi Arabia, and has also received inquiries from Italy and England. According to the report, Rabiot has received an offer from the Premier League and from Serie A, but the clubs are not named.
Barcelona itself must first check whether the signing of the 48-time international player can be reconciled with the salary cap prevailing in LaLiga. When signing Dani Olmo (26), the club had to do without the ex-Leizig player in the first two games before he could be registered.
Rabiot most recently played for Juventus Turin for five years and did not extend his contract there in the summer. In total, he played 212 games for the Bianconeri, scoring 22 goals and providing 15 assists. He had previously played even more games, 227, for his training club Paris Saint-Germain.
