The future of Hoffenheim’s midfield talent Tom Bischof apparently lies in Munich. According to “Sky” information, the 19-year-old midfielder will move to FC Bayern in the summer. Next week he should complete a medical check with the record champions.
Bishop’s contract expires at the end of the season. The Munich team can therefore sign the winner of the Fritz Walter Gold Medal, who has been playing for Hoffenheim since he was ten, free of charge. With a market value of 12 million euros – Bishop was one of the big winners in the update in December – the youth international is one of the five most valuable Bundesliga professionals with a contract expiring in the summer (for an overview).
“Tom Bischof is a young German player who is developing very well and has played very well in the last few months,” Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund said before the evening game between Munich and TSG (5-0). RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt were also recently considered interested parties.
