One of the most valuable footballers without a club is off the market: Nicolas Pépé has signed with FC Villarreal until 2026 after his contract with Trabzonspor ended. For the 29-year-old right winger, who is valued at 8.5 million euros, this is the third top 5 league in his career. The Frenchman had previously played in Ligue 1 and the Premier League.
The LaLiga club praised Pépé, for whom a total of 98 million euros were paid in transfer fees during his career, as a transfer coup. “The skilful new signing, whose left foot is his dominant one, usually plays on the right side of attack, but can also be used in all other attacking positions in the team. He is fast, unpredictable in one-on-one situations and has a powerful shot. A real spectacle for the yellow submarine.”
Pépé has played the most matches in his career with 112 for Arsenal FC (27 goals) followed by LOSC Lille (79, 37 goals). For his national team, the Ivory Coast, he has made 46 appearances (ten goals) and won the title of African champion this year.
