Surprise team in England

Nottingham Forest is the surprise team of the season in the Premier League and is in third place after 22 match days. One reason for this is the strong defense around the Brazilian Murillo, which has only conceded 22 goals. The 22-year-old has now been rewarded with a contract extension.
Until 2029, Murillo is now tied to the Tricky Trees, who have only been back in the English House of Lords since 2022 and are dreaming of their first participation in the European competition in almost 30 years. If the Champions League is even reached, it is quite possible that the defender will stay for a longer period of time. Sooner or later, however, larger clubs are likely to come on the scene and express their interest. In this case, a transfer fee would have to be renegotiated; Murillo reportedly does not have an exit clause in his new working paper.
Since moving from Corinthians São Paulo in the summer of 2023, Murillo has made 57 appearances for Nottingham. During this time, he increased his market value from 3.5 million to 50 million euros – making him currently the most valuable player in coach Nuno Espírito Santo’s team.
