Nor it’s the game of the goose, but almost. The Federation’s Board of Directors met on Wednesday afternoon in order to unblock the presidential situationsomething that has been dragging on since August 2023. The decision taken is to start the electoral process for the Assembly and the presidency again, but this time with the support of UEFA, FIFA and the Higher Sports Council.
The decision taken only aims to avoid further blockages, complaints and challenges that end in Administrative Court of Sport and which end up hindering the process, in a clear attempt to provoke chaos and blockade.
Maria Angeles Garcia Chavesfrom his interim position after resigning to run for president, called the Board of Directors in an attempt to find a way to get the Federation out of the confusion it has been in for the last thirteen months. To do so, he puts himself in the hands of the top football organisations and the Spanish government.
