The second half of the season started in the Ekstraklasa at the weekend and things are extremely tight at the top of the table. Lech Poznan leads the Polish league by two points over Raków, with champions Jagiellonia lurking behind them, one point behind. As part of the market value update in Poland, all professionals have been adjusted. At the top is 20-year-old Antoni Kozubal from table leader Poznań, who was able to double his market value.
Kouzbal started in all 18 games for Poznan, scoring one goal and assisting three more. The defensive midfielder made his debut for the Polish national team in November. His market value climbs from 2 million to 6 million euros, replacing a quartet around teammate Patrik Wålemark (23) at the top of the league, each valued at 2.5 million euros. The Ekstraklasa’s second most valuable professional is Rúben Vinagre (25) from Legia Warsaw, whose market value is 4.5 million euros after an increase of 2.1 million euros. In third place is Poznań talent Michal Gurgul (18), who is upgraded by 2 million to 3.5 million euros.
The big loser of the market value update is Legia attacker Jean-Pierre Nsame (31). The loanee from Serie A promoted Como did not get beyond the joker role in the first half of the season, only played six of 18 possible games and only scored once. He was unable to build on his promising performances from his time at Young Boys Bern and his market value subsequently fell from 2 million to one million euros.
Five German legionnaires are under contract in the Ekstraklasa. Marvin Senger (24) from Stal Mielec and Sebastian Kerk (30) from Widzew Lodz increase their market value from 250,000 to 450,000 and 300,000 to 400,000 euros, respectively. Kaan Caliskaner (25), who plays for Motor Lublin, has seen a decrease from 100,000 to 400,000 euros, while Lukas Podolski (39, Górnik Zabrze) remains at 200,000 euros and Simon Schierack (19, Slask Wroclaw) receives his first market value at 25,000 euros .
Leader Lech Poznan has now replaced Legia Warsaw in first place in the squad value ranking. After an increase of 7.6 million euros, this is 33.3 million euros. Legia recorded the second largest increase with an increase of 5.5 million euros, but is in second place with 31.9 million euros.
This is how transfer market market values work
The transfer market market values are created taking into account various pricing models as well as a strong involvement of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but rather an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this will be here listed. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for a detailed definition of market value).
