As part of the market value update in the championship, 74 footballers were adjusted-for 59 of them it goes up. With Sunderlands Jobe Bellingham (19), a well -known name is the most valuable professional in the league and the outstanding defensive of FC Burnley is also rewarded. Among the biggest losers are some professionals from the Premier League relegated team.
The rise of Bellingham, the younger brother of Real professional Jude, continues. It was only in winter that the market value of the 19 -year -old midfielder climbed from 12 million to 18 million euros. After the update, it is EUR 22 million and is the most valuable footballer in the English lower house. “Jobe has a big career in front of him. A little more defensive than his brother, he is a real box-to-box midfielder with a good technique and a driver. Tottenham, Manchester United and Arsenal as well as Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have supposedly shown interest in him and I expect him to change in summer when Sunderland does not rise,” says Benjamin Littleemore, says Benjamin Little, ” Content Manager UK at the transfer market. Previously, Bellingham shared the status of the most valuable professional with Wilfried Gnonto (21/Leeds), Anel Ahmedhodzic (25/Sheffield), Enzo Le Fée (25/Sunderland) and James Trafford (22/Burnley).
Trafford caused a sensation at the beginning of the year when he stayed twelve league games without conceding a goal (for the article). Its market value climbs from 18 million to 20 million euros – with this he pulls Jordan Pickford (31) the same, the English number one and the most valuable English goalkeeper. Trafford’s teammate CJ Egan-Riley (22) and Maxime Estève (22) are also rewarded for the remarkable series. The market value of Egan-Riley increases by 833 percent from 1.5 million to EUR 14 million. “This season he was one of the best defenders in the league and that in the strongest defense that the league has ever seen. The Clarets have only conceded 11 goals in 38 games and Egan-Riley has a large part. He is also part of the very talented English U21 national team,” explains Littlemore. Estève’s assessment is corrected by 7 million to 18 million euros, which makes him the most valuable central defender of the championship.
Another one-country talent Chris Rigg (17) is one of the winners, whose market value was still 300,000 euros at the beginning of the season and which records an increase of 4 million to EUR 16 million. “Rigg is one of the most exciting young players in England at the moment. There was interest from the Premier League and, if Sunderland, he could change. In view of his age, he would be good for his age to develop. But his future is promising and he can become a very good prime minister League player,” said Littlemore. Rigg was on the pitch in 34 out of 38 games for the fourth in the table.
Market values Championship: Burnley Beautifier in front of Leeds

For Teden Mengi (22) it goes from 10 million to 8 million euros, the same applies to Alfie Doughty (25) and Elijah Adebayo (27). Leeds United league leader improves by 16 million to 189.5 million euros and is Burnley on the heels. The biggest minus is available for Luton Town, which loses 2.25 million and falls to EUR 94.5 million.
This is how the transfer market market values work
The transfer market market values are taken into account, taking into account various pricing models and a strong inclusion of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market values are not to be equated with the transfer sums actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but an expectation value. When collecting the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples will be here listed.
