Imagining what life would be like backwards is quite difficult. In sport, what would happen if a referee was the one who insulted? It is a proven fact that the refereeing community is, in sport, one of the groups that suffers the most from the anger of athletes and fans. In an effort to raise awareness mixed with humour, the Endesa League turned reality on its head. How would you feel if a referee was the one who insulted?
Carlos Peruga, the main referee of the Endesa Super Cup final, carried a microphone during the match and these were some of the conversations he had with the players.
In a novel content, Increasingly common in the ACB, referees are the protagonists from the spot. They become consumers of a café with a marked basketball tone, and they use the disqualifications that they usually receive towards the waiters and workers of the place.
The message is direct: Do you imagine this every day? Obviously, it is fiction and the referees of the Liga Endesa appear as the villains of the film. But it has a clear ring of reality. Insults exist.
The season
Back to reality, the Endesa League will start the 2024-25 season with a new addition to the refereeing field, that of Igor Esteve. He continues to rise in ranks after officiating in Primera FEB -formerly LEB Oro- and Liga Femenina Endesa. In addition, one of the legendary players, Miguel Ángel Pérez Pérez, is retiring. upon reaching the maximum permitted age.

Pérez Pérez, in fact, received a special tribute before the second semi-final of the last Endesa Super Cup between Unicaja Málaga and UCAM Murcia. Antonio Martín, president of the competition, presented him with an award just before his last match in the ACB.
