Paris Saint-Germain has been trying hard for weeks to sign a new winger. Names such as Naples’ Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, FC Bayern’s Kingsley Coman and Stade Rennes’ Désiré Doué have already been mentioned, and now another has been added. As “L’Équipe” and others report, the latest lead leads to Jadon Sancho from Manchester United.
Talks have been taking place for several days with the management of the ex-Dortmund player, who had just spoken to coach Erik ten Hag at the Red Devils and had returned to team training. Sancho is said to be keen on the idea of a move to the French capital, but an agreement has not yet been reached. Man United must be convinced first.
The clubs are already in contact, as the English record champions are reportedly looking to sign Manuel Ugarte. Star agent Jorge Mendes is working on a departure for the 23-year-old after just one year, who failed to fully convince coach Luis Enrique last season. In 37 games, he played an average of 66 minutes and provided three assists. PSG transferred a transfer fee of 60 million euros to Sporting for the Uruguayan in 2023 – Man United would have to pay more if a player swap were made.
With Sancho sale: Man United with significant transfer loss
Sancho’s contract with the Red Devils runs until 2026. According to the latest reports before the reconciliation, Man United had envisaged a transfer fee of around 47 million euros for the Englishman, who moved to Manchester in 2021 for 85 million euros. Ten Hag and Sancho had fallen out at the beginning of the previous season. After the coach criticized the winger’s attitude to training, Sancho accused him of lying on social media. He was then suspended. BVB loaned the 24-year-old, who had already played for the Black and Yellows from 2017 to 2021, and hoped for another loan because a purchase is not feasible. However, this option is becoming increasingly remote.
