Ipswich Town have the fourth-weakest defense in the Premier League with 35 goals conceded in 20 games and have increased their defense in the transfer market. Ben Godfrey is coming from Europa League winners Atalanta Bergamo on loan until the end of the season.
At the Serie A club, Godfrey, who came from Everton FC for 12 million euros in the summer, was only on the pitch five times for a total of 93 minutes. It was another difficult year after he had previously lost his regular place at the Toffees and 18 million euros in market value in two years. In 2021 this was still at 25 million euros, after a temporary low of 7 million euros, the two-time England international is currently valued at 8 million euros.
