Long-time Bundesliga professional Josuha Guilavogui has found a new club. On Wednesday, the 34-year-old was introduced by the traditional English club Leeds United. He signed a contract until the end of the season with Daniel Farke’s team, who want to achieve promotion back to the Premier League.
“I have never played in England. “It’s a really great experience for me as a football player,” said Guilavogui, who played for VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga for nine years and for FSV Mainz 05 for nine months last season. Leeds is “a historic club” and therefore “a wonderful opportunity” for him.
Four other former Bundesliga and second division professionals already play for Leeds: Maximilian Wöber (formerly Borussia Mönchengladbach), Ilia Gruev (Werder Bremen), Brenden Aaronson (Union Berlin) and Ao Tanaka (Fortuna Düsseldorf).
