Jan Elvedi has extended his contract with 1. FC Kaiserslautern. The Red Devils announced this on Wednesday without giving any information about the term. The 28-year-old central defender has been playing for FCK since 2023 and so far he has played 53 games in which he contributed three goals and one assist. In the current season, only teammates Boris Tomiak (1,144 minutes) and Julian Krahl (1,350) have accumulated more playing time than the Swiss.
“Since moving to FCK, Jan has been an absolute regular player and has developed into a pillar of the squad without any start-up time. We are very happy to be able to rely on his services in the future,” said Managing Director Thomas Hengen. “The sporting perspective here suits me perfectly – and I feel really comfortable in the city and in the club. You can feel every day how much tradition there is here and the passion with which everyone involved and fans are involved. That’s why I’m just keen to continue being part of this team,” added the twin brother of Gladbach professional Nico Elvedi.
