Miralem Pjanic is off the market again. After three months without a club, the 34-year-old midfielder has signed with CSKA Moscow. The 115-time Bosnian international was introduced as a new signing on Thursday. The contract is valid for this season plus an option for a further season.

Pjanic had spent the last two years in the United Arab Emirates with Sharjah FC, contributing five goals and 16 assists in 61 appearances. During this time, his market value dropped from €9.5 million to €3 million. Pjanic’s contract expired this summer.

CSKA is the eighth professional station of his career and the seventh in Europe. He played most of his games between 2011 and 2016 for AS Roma (185). He reached his career high of 70 million euros in October 2018 at Juventus Turin. In 2020, Pjanic moved from the Bianconeri to FC Barcelona in exchange for Arthur Melo (28) – in a deal that helped both clubs, especially in terms of profit and loss accounts. A transfer fee of 60 million euros was estimated for Pjanić and 72 million euros for Arthur.
