Justin Njinmah<\/strong>: That’s correct! What did you think? ((smile<\/em>)<\/p>\n

Transfermarkt: <\/strong>At the last market value update, we did not get around to devalue them for 2 million euros. Some professionals were already offended afterwards. What about you?<\/p>\n

Njinmah<\/strong>: To be honest, it doesn’t take care of me so much. It is not that it affects me. But you look at it and talk to the other boys about it. And of course it is nicer when things go well and the market value rises.<\/p>\n

Njinmah<\/strong>: I can’t say if I took a step forward or back. Measured by the expectation, the fans and I have certainly hoped for more. I know how I work on myself and how I go full throttle in training. It doesn’t feel like a step backwards. I am firmly convinced that I am now at the point again to help the team with my qualities. As a striker, you need a rhythm, regular playing time over a longer period of time.<\/p>\n

Njinmah<\/strong>: You can only show your maximum if you are fit. That wasn’t always the case last season. At that time I was also a challenger and took some time until I found the team. Now it was actually the plan to play much more. But nothing came of it and that’s why we have definitely not seen everything from me.<\/p>\n

Transfermarkt: <\/strong>If you could get one thing back from your form high last season, which one would it be?<\/p>\n

Njinmah<\/strong>: The certainty that you play. If you know that, you can call up your best performance. Every soccer player knows that. I had this certainty at the time. I knew I was set. Then I also performed.<\/p>\n

Njinmah<\/strong>: Of course it didn’t make the competitive situation easier. But I haven’t dealt so much with it, I look at myself and what I can do. Andr\u00e9 is a cool guy, a good striker. And I am happy about every good player who is added.<\/p>\n

Transfermarkt: <\/strong>Speaking of winter. According to the “picture”, the club rejected an offer for her over 10 million euros from AS Rome. How far did the topic approach you?<\/p>\n

Njinmah<\/strong>: I get a lot with you. There were offers, I can’t deny that. You cancel something like that with the club and a decision is always made together. It was signaled to me that you want to keep me. That’s why I’m still here.<\/p>\n

Werder’s Njinmah: “Change abroad can always be an option”<\/h2>\n

Njinmah<\/strong>: A change abroad can always be an option. I am someone who would like to see something new. It is interesting to experience such transfer phases. Transfermarkt: <\/strong>European Cup dreams have been accompanying the season since the winter break. Werder never stood in an international place, but was always within reach. Do you see the topic as motivation or as a load?<\/p>\n

Njinmah<\/strong>: Neither as motivation nor as a load. We see the table and talk about the game days in the cabin, possible scenarios, but always concentrate on the next game. It is a dream of everyone to achieve international business. But it is the wrong time to open the barrel again. There has already been enough talk about it. We try to finish the season very well.<\/p>\n

Transfermarkt: <\/strong>Seventh could also be enough for Europe if VfB Stuttgart wins the DFB Cup and ends up in the top six. Have you ever put pressure on ex-player Nick Woltemade?<\/p>\n

Njinmah<\/strong>: No, we don’t. ((smile<\/em>) I would be happy for Nick if he wins the trophy. If it could help us, it would of course be very good. But that’s not in our hands, so I don’t deal with it.<\/p>\n

Njinmah<\/strong>: I don’t feel that way. With Stuttgart and Leipzig we also meet at least two top opponents. But it also makes no difference whether we play against Stuttgart or against Bochum, for example. We know that we can win against any other team in the league. But also against us. This season we didn’t always look great against the teams from below, there are no easy games in the Bundesliga. And we know exactly that we always have to go to our absolute performance limit to win.<\/p>\n

Transfermarkt: <\/strong>After a series with five defeats in a row, including the cup off in Bielefeld, the team caught again and goes to the season’s sprint. What does it matter?<\/p>\n

Njinmah<\/strong>: Everyone knows that there are only a few games left. It is about punching everything and giving full throttle. Everyone has to get the best possible out of themselves. We should show what we have shown primarily against Frankfurt (2: 0; editor). Then we are convinced that we can finish the season positively.<\/p>\n

Njinmah<\/strong>: We need the momentum on our side, we want to fight for that. Then it is in our hands that we can do it. We are recorded.<\/p>\n
