Mike Maignan gave a brief but impactful press conference after Milan\u2019s 2-2 home draw against Fiorentina, reacting with visible frustration when a journalist asked what the Rossoneri players needed to revive what was described as a \u2018disastrous\u2019 season. \u2018Maybe we need someone like you,\u2019 he replied.<\/p>\n

The France international was one of Milan\u2019s standout performers on the night, making a series of brilliant saves to deny the Viola, including a crucial stop on Moise Kean in the second half to keep the score level.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old admitted that the team is not going through \u2018an easy moment\u2019, but insisted that the challenges of this season are helping the squad grow, making them better equipped to bounce back from any situation.<\/p>\n

Maignan: \u2018I don\u2019t want to talk about my contract, Milan deserve more\u2019<\/h2>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t see it that way \u2014 we all play together,\u201d Maignan said at a post-match press conference attended by Football Italia when asked how he felt after seeing his teammates concede so easily in the opening minutes.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt makes me angry to concede goals, but I think the team\u2019s attitude after that was right. The reaction was there, unfortunately only after we went behind.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s not an easy moment, for the club and for everyone. But I believe this will serve as experience for the future \u2014 as you saw, this is a team that never gives up, regardless of the result. We need to find the right balance between defensive solidity and attacking effectiveness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amid speculation about new board members and yet another likely managerial change next season, a journalist asked Maignan what the Milan players need in order to start performing consistently in what the reporter described as a \u2018disastrous\u2019 season.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need you, someone like you \u2014 maybe you know how to hit the right spots to fire up the team,\u201d he replied.<\/p>\n

The goalkeeper also faced a question about his future from Sky Sport Italia.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel good at Milan,\u201d Maignan said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI give everything for the shirt every time I wear it and every single day. Right now, to tell you the truth, I don\u2019t want to talk about my contract: I want to talk about football and about finding the right balance.<\/p>\n

\u201cMilan, the team, and everyone involved deserve more. My personal situation isn\u2019t the most important thing at the moment\u201d<\/p>\n
