Inter confirm that Mehdi Taremi has suffered a strain in his left thigh and will be reassessed next week. This means that he\u2019ll miss Wednesday\u2019s derby della Madonnina against Milan.<\/p>\n

Inter released an official injury update on their striker Taremi on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The experienced striker had missed Sunday\u2019s home game against Udinese due to a muscle injury and the Nerazzurri have now clarified the extent of his physical issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cMehdi Taremi underwent a medical examination at the Istituto Clinico Humanitas in Rozzano this morning,\u201d the Nerazzurri said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe tests revealed a strain in his left thigh. His condition will be reevaluated next week.\u201d<\/p>\n

This means Taremi won\u2019t be available for the Nerazzurri in Wednesday\u2019s Coppa Italia semifinal second leg against Milan.<\/p>\n

Inter, however, hope Lautaro Martinez will return to action after missing Sunday\u2019s game against Udinese.<\/p>\n

Lautaro had sustained a muscle injury while on international duty with Argentina.<\/p>\n

Taremi joined Inter on a free transfer last summer. He has scored three goals and provided six assists in 34 appearances across all competitions with the defending Serie A champions.<\/p>\n

His contract at the Stadio Meazza runs out in June 2027.<\/p>\n
