Former Chelsea talent Cesare Casadei has earned his first Italy call-up only 41 days after completing a permanent Torino transfer.<\/p>\n

The Inter academy product joined Torino on February 2, 2025, for a reported \u20ac15m transfer fee.<\/p>\n

Casadei has become an immediate starter under Paolo Vanoli, collecting 327 minutes of football and scoring one goal, his first-ever in Serie A, in five appearances.<\/p>\n

Italy CT Luciano Spalletti already praised Casadei in January 2024 when the promising midfielder was still playing for Leicester City in the English Championship.<\/p>\n

Casadei had played a key role for Italy in the U20 World Cup a few months earlier when he was named the best player in the tournament and won the Golden Boot.<\/p>\n

As reported by Tuttosport, Casadei has been playing for Torino for just 41 days, but it was enough to earn his first Italy call-up.<\/p>\n

He had been struggling for playing time at Chelsea, making just six appearances, none in the Premier League, under Enzo Maresca.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old central midfielder could make his senior Italy debut against Germany in the Nations League quarter-finals next week.<\/p>\n
