Lecce dropped a hint that they are ready to sell Patrick Dorgu to Manchester United by making an offer for Hearts full-back Daniel Oyegoke.<\/p>\n

The club met with Manchester United representatives who visited Italy over the last few days to discuss terms, but had a significant gap between the \u20ac27m proposal and Lecce\u2019s \u20ac40m asking price.<\/p>\n

However, the Premier League side is expected to raise its original bid and could get a deal done for Dorgu over the January transfer window.<\/p>\n

With that in mind, Lecce are looking for a replacement and Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio claims they have already found him.<\/p>\n

Hearts manager Neil Critchley told reporters today that Oyegoke was not in the squad because he has received interest from several Italian clubs.<\/p>\n

Lecce would seem to be the favourites and believe the Arsenal youth academy product can fill Dorgu\u2019s shoes at the Stadio Via del Mare.<\/p>\n

Oyegoke turned 22 earlier this month and can play in central defence, on the right or the left.<\/p>\n

He came up through the Arsenal academy and had spells at MK Dons and Brentford before a free transfer to Hearts of Midlothian in July 2024.<\/p>\n
