He also made it clear that Tel’s departure was by no means being forced: \u201cWe had really good discussions and it is our clear plan that we will do this with Mathys at FC Bayern Munich and that he should make it here too! (\u2026) We are convinced of that \u2013 and so is Mathys. That’s why we won’t do much in our squad (\u2026). That’s why we had discussions before Christmas, together with the player and with the agent. We have had repeated discussions and the clear goal is for Mathys to make a breakthrough with us. We believe in it too, Mathys believes in it! And that\u2019s why it\u2019s currently not an issue for us to focus on other things.\u201d<\/p>\n
