Mateo Retegui was the best Italian goalscorer in 2024, followed by Ciro Immobile and Riccardo Orsolini.<\/p>\n

Retegui scored 16 goals in 35 Serie A games with Genoa and Atalanta last year, resulting in the best Italian scorer in the top 15 leagues, as reported by Transfermarkt.<\/p>\n

Quite surprisingly, and worryingly to some extent, the second-best Italian scorer in 2024 was Immobile, who combined 12 goals for Lazio and his new club Besiktas.<\/p>\n

Bologna winger Riccardo Orsolini scored the same amount of goals in 32 league games last year, while Moise Kean bagged 11 goals for Fiorentina and none for Juventus in 23 appearances in 2024.<\/p>\n

Even Federico Macheda, a former Manchester United striker currently contracted with Greek side Asteras Aktor, makes the top 20 for the top Italian scorers in 2024. The 33-year-old scored five goals in 24 appearances last year.<\/p>\n

The new year will be crucial to Italy and Luciano Spalletti, who will begin 2025 with the Nations League quarter-finals against Germany before starting the World Cup qualifiers.<\/p>\n
