Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has revealed what he told Bayern Munich after the Bundesliga giants became interested in the Nerazzurri playmaker in the 2024 summer transfer window.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The T\u00fcrkiye international has established himself as one of Inter\u2019s key players under Simone Inzaghi over the last few years, which has led to subsequent interest from a number of Europe\u2019s \u2018top\u2019 clubs on the transfer market.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Though Calhanoglu has a lot of respect for Bayern Munich, he told the Bavarians to \u2018talk to Inter, not to me\u2019, as he felt it best to respect the wishes of his current employers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Calhanoglu was away with his national team for EURO 2024 at the time of Bayern\u2019s enquiry with Inter, but has since revealed that his agent did not disclose any of the potential transfer talks until the tournament was over.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\"Turkey<\/picture>\n

\u201cThe European Championships were on, and my agent didn\u2019t tell me anything until they were over. Then he called me and told me that there were these options. I stopped him immediately and told him \u2018talk to Inter, not to me, I will only do what they want\u2019,\u201d Calhanoglu said in a recent interview with Il Corriere dello Sport.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cI can only thank the club and the people who are part of it. They have always helped and supported me, in particular Mr Ausilio. He was really important to me on a sporting and personal level.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe gave me confidence and made me understand that I could be an important player for Inter, and so it was. That\u2019s why Inter will always decide for me.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n
