FSV Mainz 05 has extended the expiring contract of regular goalkeeper Robin Zentner by three years. The 30-year-old is now tied to the zero fives until 2028. The Bundesliga club announced this before the home game against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>       <\/p>\n<p>Sports director Niko Bungert said: \u201cRobin Zentner has continuously developed during his time here, having matured from a talent between the posts to a seasoned Bundesliga goalkeeper and leading player. His career is not only due to the outstanding goalkeeping training here, but also to Robin&#8217;s ambition and character. He has become a face of Mainz 05 and is happy to take responsibility for his team and the club &#8211; more than two decades at one club are a clear sign of his deep connection and importance to us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>    <\/p>\n<p>Zentner explained: \u201cMainz is my home, the extension was a heartfelt decision for me. I am looking forward to celebrating success with this team in the coming years.
