Genoa striker Andrea Pinamonti took to social media to thank his former coach Alberto Gilardino, who was sacked by the Grifone on Tuesday, with the club set to replace him with Patrick Vieira.<\/p>\n

Pinamonti arrived at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris last summer and scored four goals in his first 11 Serie A matches under Gilardino, including winners in his side\u2019s only two league victories of the season.<\/p>\n

Pinamonti thanks \u2018loyal\u2019 Gilardino after Genoa sacking<\/h2>\n

In an Instagram story published on his official account, the 25-year-old described his former manager as a \u2018truthful and loyal\u2019 person, adding that he\u2019s sure that his future will be littered with \u2018great achievements\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cA truthful and loyal person,\u201d the striker wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn just a few months, you\u2019ve taught me so much, and a simple thank you will never be enough.<\/p>\n
