According to the latest reports out of Senegal, Lazio striker Boulaye Dia underwent tests that showed he had not contracted malaria.<\/p>\n

The forward felt unwell earlier this week and was left out of the group travelling for the 1-0 victory over Burkina Faso on Thursday.<\/p>\n

He had symptoms associated with malaria, though more tests were required to give a real diagnosis, so he remained behind at the training camp in Dakar.<\/p>\n

According to wiwsport.com this evening, the tests showed he has not contracted malaria.<\/p>\n

It was the best present he could ask for, as today is also his 28th<\/sup> birthday.<\/p>\n

The former Salernitana and Villarreal player could therefore still be available for Senegal\u2019s next CAN 2025 qualifying match against Burundi on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

However, he still requires a check-up to ensure that his health is in good condition and Lazio will be urging the Senegal medical staff to act with the utmost caution before risking him on the pitch.<\/p>\n
