Giuseppe Giannini is convinced that Claudio Ranieri has the charisma and personality to help Roma bounce back and sees similarities to Daniele De Rossi\u2019s appointment in January.<\/p>\n

Roma have changed their coach for the second time this season, hiring Claudio Ranieri for his third stint at the Stadio Olimpico.<\/p>\n

The 73-year-old tactician was welcomed by over 200 fans at Fiumicino Airport on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a new start in the name of experience. An important return to the past matured with the same reasoning that led the Friedkins to replace Mourinho with De Rossi in January,\u201d Roma legend Giannini told Gazzetta.<\/p>\n

\u201cDaniele was the only one who could stick the team together at that moment, and now it\u2019s the turn of another Roman and Romanista.\u201d<\/p>\n

Giannini argued that Ranieri is \u201ccredible and authoritative at all levels\u201d and insisted that \u201cthe fans\u2019 love is one of the reasons why he was chosen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe players respect him, and he is the right man to relaunch the team,\u201d continued Il Principe. <\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThere are the ingredients to cheer up a depressed environment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Roma players have been under pressure since De Rossi was sacked in September and Ivan Juric quickly lost the dressing room during his brief reign in the capital.<\/p>\n

Roma sit 12th in the Serie A table, just four points above the relegation zone. After \u20ac100m in summer transfer window investments, they were expected to fight for a Champions League placement. However, they are already 12 points below the top four, a target that currently seems unlikely on crypto football betting sites.<\/p>\n

In current circumstances, Giannini believes that Roma players now have an even bigger responsibility.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn these cases, you must run a lot and not talk much.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lorenzo Pellegrini, Bryan Cristante and Gianluca Mancini have been the most criticised in the last couple of months, but Giannini believes Ranieri can get the best out of them.<\/p>\n

\u201cLooking straight in the eyes, a hug or a pat on the back is enough to understand each other and restart with the appropriate energy. Sometimes, you don\u2019t need words to enter the players\u2019 minds.\u201d<\/p>\n

The same is true of Paulo Dybala, Roma\u2019s most talented player, who rejected a big-money move to Al Qadsiah FC last summer to remain at the Stadio Olimpico.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d told him to bring to the pitch the highhandedness that this timorous Roma needs,\u201d concluded Giannini.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis football freedom can hurt the opponents. He can do it because the fans\u2019 love will give him that extra push.\u201d<\/p>\n
