Theo Hernandez\u2019s agent reveals there is \u2018no negotiation\u2019 with Milan to extend his contract, accusing someone of trying to \u2018force public opinion\u2019 against him.<\/p>\n

The left-back turned 27 last week with a very negative birthday, as he saw a penalty saved in the 2-1 defeat to Fiorentina and was then sent off for insulting the referee.<\/p>\n

That earned him a two-match Serie A ban and prompted reports that negotiations to extend his current contract have hit problems.<\/p>\n

However, his agent Manuel Garcia Quilon spoke to TeleLombardia programme QSVS this evening and revealed a very different scenario.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no negotiation, we haven\u2019t talked about anything for four months, since May-June,\u201d said the agent.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe club contacted me, asked if we wanted to remain and if we were happy at Milan. We said yes, then there was no further contact.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have not received any offer from the club.\u201d<\/p>\n

There are also reports in the Italian newspapers that Theo Hernandez has asked for a salary worth \u20ac8m per season to sign an extension. Is that true?<\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone is spreading these rumours to force public opinion against him,\u201d replied Quilon.<\/p>\n

Theo Hernandez future at Milan up in the air<\/h2>\n

The France international was purchased from Real Madrid for \u20ac22.8m in the summer of 2019 and went on to become one of the best left-backs in the world.<\/p>\n

However, his current deal with Milan only runs to June 2026 and if talks are at a standstill, then Theo Hernandez risks becoming a free agent.<\/p>\n

\u201cFootball is football, it all moves very quickly. Every day things change for a thousand details. I can say today that Theo\u2019s main idea is to continue at Milan, reach an agreement and stay at the club for as long as possible,\u201d added the agent.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat will happen in a year\u2019s time? I don\u2019t know. I don\u2019t want to lie to you, because I really just don\u2019t know. If he reaches an agreement and extends his contract, then it\u2019s not an issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf he doesn\u2019t sign a new contract, what happens? I don\u2019t like to lie, I don\u2019t know what could happen, but the idea right now is that Theo is happy at Milan.\u201d<\/p>\n
