The transfer window in the biggest leagues has been closed since last Friday. With a total of almost \u20ac2.33 billion, Premier League clubs invested more than twice as much in new players as any other league and are also the three clubs with the most spending: Chelsea is in first place with \u20ac239 million, ahead of Brighton and Manchester United. But which clubs made the biggest profits worldwide in the summer transfer window? We took a look at the TM database.<\/p>\n

The clubs with the highest transfer profits in 2024\/25<\/h2>\n

According to Transfermarkt data, the balance achieved by English second division club Leeds United of 130.48 million euros was the highest of all clubs worldwide in the past transfer period. After the Peacocks, coached by German Daniel Farke, narrowly missed promotion to the Premier League last season, the Championship club sold a number of stars and thus achieved a turnover of 162.9 million euros on the credit side. Meanwhile, only 32.42 million euros were invested in new signings. Georginio Rutter (46.7 million euros, Brighton), Archie Gray (41.3 million euros, Tottenham), Crysenscio Summerville (29.3 million euros, West Ham) and Luis Sinisterra (23.4 million euros, Bournemouth) all left the club for transfer fees of over 20 million euros.<\/p>\n

Manchester City, which has been known for its spending in recent years, generated the second-largest profit in the world this summer at \u20ac116 million. The majority of the total amount of \u20ac141 million generated through sales went to Juli\u00e1n Alvarez, who moved to Atl\u00e9tico Madrid for \u20ac75 million. The signing of the most expensive signing, Savinho from Troyes, cost City just \u20ac25 million. Benfica Lisbon, meanwhile, ranks behind the two English clubs, where Jo\u00e3o Neves (PSG) and Marcos Leonardo (Al-Hilal) were the top departures.<\/p>\n

The first German club to appear in the ranking is RB Leipzig, which comes in 15th place with a balance of 34 million euros. The Saxons collected around 90 million euros from the sales of Dani Olmo and Mohamed Simakan alone.<\/p>\n
