TSG Hoffenheim has made Adam Hlozek (22) its record purchase. The Kraichgau club is paying a base fee of 18 million euros to Bayer Leverkusen for the attacker. It is not the first Bundesliga transfer to break the club’s internal record this summer. Newly promoted Holstein Kiel brought in Armin Gigovic (22; 1.8 million euros), while at VfB Stuttgart Ermedin Demirovic (26; 21 million euros) initially took the lead, but was soon replaced by Deniz Undav (28; 26.7 million euros).<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In Hoffenheim, Hlozek displaces Mergim Berisha (26; 14 million euros), who was one of four new record transfers in the German top flight last summer – the others still have their status. The 2018\/19 and 2019\/20 seasons before the Corona pandemic, which forced the clubs to temporarily cut costs, are also represented three times.<\/p>\n

While 16 Bundesliga clubs have made the record transfer in the last ten years, two clubs have done so over 20 years ago.
