data-gtm-element-container=\"modulo-texto-link\">Hamby, who won bronze with the United States in 3-on-3 basketball at the Paris 2024 Games, began her WNBA career in 2015 with the San Antonio Stars, who later moved to Las Vegas and became the Aces.<\/p>\n<p data-gtm-element-container=\"modulo-texto-link\">She was part of the Las Vegas team that, under Becky Hammon, was crowned WNBA champion in 2022.<\/p>\n<p data-gtm-element-container=\"modulo-texto-link\">The text of the complaint explains that in June 2022 the player and the team agreed to a two-year extension of her contract.<\/p>\n<p data-gtm-element-container=\"modulo-texto-link\">In addition, the Aces promised him &#8220;certain additional benefits and incentives&#8221; such as the possibility of living in accommodation provided by the franchise or paying the tuition fees at his daughter Amaya&#8217;s private school.<\/p>\n<p data-gtm-element-container=\"modulo-texto-link\">In July of that year, Hamby learned she was pregnant with her second child and told the team in August.<\/p>\n<p data-gtm-element-container=\"modulo-texto-link\">&#8220;After making her pregnancy public (in September 2022), <strong>Hamby experienced notable changes in the way she was treated by the Las Vegas Aces staff<\/strong>&#8220;the lawsuit claims.<\/p>\n<p data-gtm-element-container=\"modulo-texto-link\">In this regard, she mentions that her daughter&#8217;s tuition was not paid and that she was asked to leave the accommodation provided by the franchise.<\/p>\n<p data-gtm-element-container=\"modulo-texto-link\">In January 2023, and according to Hamby&#8217;s account, the player had a telephone conversation with Hammon, who asked her if she had planned the pregnancy and told her that she had not taken the &#8220;appropriate precautions&#8221; to have avoided it.<\/p>\n<p data-gtm-element-container=\"modulo-texto-link\">Hamby also argues that <strong>Hammon accused her of having signed her renewal knowing she was pregnant<\/strong> and questioned his &#8220;commitment and dedication&#8221; to the team.<\/p>\n<p data-gtm-element-container=\"modulo-texto-link\">Days later, her transfer to the Sparks was announced and Hamby accused the Aces on social media of discriminating against her because of her pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p data-gtm-element-container=\"modulo-texto-link\">This prompted a WNBA investigation, which concluded in May 2023 with a two-game ban for Hammon &#8220;for a violation of respect in the workplace policies&#8221; and the withdrawal of the Aces&#8217; first pick in the 2025 draft.<\/p>\n<p data-gtm-element-container=\"modulo-texto-link\">Hamby found this resolution insufficient and that is why he took the step of filing this lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p data-gtm-element-container=\"modulo-texto-link\">Hammon denied the allegations at the time, saying the pregnancy was not &#8220;an issue&#8221; or the reason for the transfer.<\/p>\n<p data-gtm-element-container=\"modulo-texto-link\">&#8220;We made the decision to trade Hamby because we could get three players in lieu of her contract and we wanted to have three more players,&#8221;
