The final moments of the match between Uruguay and Colombia in the Copa America semi-finals were very ugly. The Colombian team won 0-1 thanks to a solitary goal by Jefferson Lerma and will face Argentina next Sunday for the title.
A fight between fans has taken place in the area where relatives of Uruguayan players were located. Several Uruguayan footballers have engaged in a fight with a group of Colombian supporters who were located near the tunnel to the changing rooms.
According to EFE, the fight started between fans and that is when several Uruguayan players jumped into the stands.

Darwin Núñez, José María Giménez, De la Cruz and Ronald Araujo, the latter of whom is out due to injury, have all confronted the Colombian fans and the Liverpool and Barcelona fans have even come to blows. The reason for the fight is not yet known. The stadium security was overwhelmed and it took several minutes to separate the contenders in the stands.
In the images recorded by those present at the stadium, a Colombia fan can also be seen punching a Uruguay player. Celeste fans also joined in the melee as liquids and various objects rained down on them.
Just after the final whistle, several Colombian and Uruguayan players had to be separated because of a brawl. Apparently, the Uruguayans did not like some of the Colombians’ celebratory gestures. The match, tough and aggressive as has been the trend in this Copa America, ended in the worst possible way.
