Four defeats in a row

FC Sevilla took consequences after four defeats and separated from coach Xavier García Pimienta. The 50-year-old only followed Quique Sánchez Flores last summer, but could not stop the downward trend.
Sevilla had lost 0-1 at FC Valencia on Friday and is only in 13th place in Laliga after 31 match days and 36 points. With the exception of the pre -season, when two points were still an account at the same time, it is the worst season since the relegation year 1999/2000.
Update 2:52 p.m.: As the club announced only a short time after the end of García Pimienta, Joaquín Caparrós once again returned to the Sevillas coaching bench. The 69-year-old takes over until the end of the season. For him it is the fourth term. For the first time he was there from 2000 to 2005, then in 2018 as an interim coach and in 2019 he worked again as head coach. In the meantime, he also acted as a sports director.
