The line-ups are in for the first Serie A match in the 28th round of 2024-25 fixtures, as Cagliari host Genoa in the Friday night kick-off slot.

Both sides are looking to get back to winning ways in Serie A: Cagliari have not won any of their last three matches in a tough run against Atalanta, Juventus and Bologna. Genoa have won more recently, a 2-0 victory over Venezia in mid-February, which has been followed up by a 1-0 loss to Inter and a 1-1 draw at home against Empoli.

The hosts have made three changes following their 2-1 loss to Bologna last time out. Michel Adopo, Tommaso Augello and Zito Luvumbo drop out of the line-up, making room for Alessandro Deiola, Nicolas Viola and Florinel Coman.

Genoa, meanwhile, have made five changes for tonight’s Serie A clash. Brooke Norton-Cuffy, Milan Badelj, Maxwell Cornet, Jeff Ekhator and Caleb Ekuban are all back in the team, at the expense of Mattia Bani, Alessandro Zanoli, Patrizio Masini, Junior Messias and Andrea Pinamonti.

Kick-off is due at 19.45 GMT.

Cagliari (4-2-3-1): Caprile; Zappa, Mina, Luperto, Obert; Makoumbou, Deiola; Zortea, Viola, Coman; Piccoli.

Genoa (4-2-3-1): Leali; Norton-Cuffy, De Winter, Vasquez, Martin; Frendrup, Badelj; Cornet, Miretti, Ekhator; Ekuban.
