Paulo Dybala has seen his Roma contract extended to June 2026 on a salary of €8m including bonuses.
The Argentina international has been linked with an exit for many months because the club was concerned at the automatic extension clauses in his current deal.
He seemed to be on the verge of a move to Saudi Arabia in the summer before changing his mind, then was approached by Galatasaray in the January transfer window.
Dybala will continue Roma career
However, Dybala has been playing regularly since Claudio Ranieri took over as their third coach of the campaign and was in the starting XI for the Europa League defeat to AZ Alkmaar on Thursday.
According to Sky Sport Italia, that appearance was enough to formally activate the automatic contract renewal, so now Dybala is tied to Roma until June 2026.
He will continue to earn the same salary, specifically €8m per season including performance-related bonuses.
La Joya joined the Giallorossi as a free agent in the summer of 2022 when leaving Juventus.
The 31-year-old contributed five goals and three assists in 24 competitive games for Roma so far this season.
