Premier League outfit Tottenham are emerging as potential rivals to Roma in their attempt to sign Inter midfielder and Italy international Davide Frattesi according to reports in Italy.
Frattesi has reportedly been considering his future in recent weeks, as he has struggled to cement a place in the starting line-up under Simone Inzaghi following his move from Sassuolo in the summer of 2023.
Despite his lack of consistent playing time with Inter, the 25-year-old is a regular under Luciano Spalletti with the Italy national team, and has scored more goals for the Azzurri than any other player since the CT’s appointment in 2023.
Reports Tottenham prepared to challenge Roma for Frattesi
Reports in recent weeks suggest that Frattesi is considering a move away from Inter in order to find more consistent playing time at club level.
Roma, looking for a major squad overhaul under Claudio Ranieri’s stewardship, have been linked with a move for the former Sassuolo man.
Calciomercato.com report that Frattesi and those close to him are keen on the idea of a move to the capital, but his agent is aware that there could be more lucrative deals to be done abroad.
With that in mind, Calciomercato suggest that Tottenham are also potentially interested in Frattesi. The Premier League outfit are not expected to have any issues in offering Inter the sort of fee they will be looking for.
However, Sunday’s report suggests that a deal in the summer is more likely to suit all parties, particularly Inter.
