Lazio are one of the four clubs reportedly interested in signing Italy U21 star Cesare Casadei from Chelsea during the January transfer window, but the Biancocelesti currently consider him as a ‘Plan B’ due to their ongoing negotiations with Empoli for Jacopo Fazzini according to Friday’s reports.
According to Friday morning’s updates, Lazio, Napoli, Monza and Torino have all expressed an interest in bringing the former Inter talent back to Italy from West London, but Lazio currently have other priorities on their agenda.

Casadei: Lazio’s ‘Plan B’ after Fazzini
Reports from Calciomercato.com and Il Corriere dello Sport claim that Lazio have already made an offer to Empoli for Fazzini, who is also of interest to Napoli.
Lazio have reportedly had a one proposal turned down already for Fazzini, which consisted of a two-year loan deal with an obligation to buy at a later date for around €11m-€12m.

For that reason, Lazio are only likely to push forwards in negotiations for Casadei if their proposed deal for Fazzini falls through.
Torino, meanwhile, have already submitted an offer to Chelsea for Casadei according to reports from Calciomercato.com, which includes a buy-back option in Chelsea’s favour.
