According to Sky Sport Italia, Lazio are on the verge of agreeing a two-season loan with €15m option to buy Empoli midfielder Jacopo Fazzini, also linked with Napoli and Fiorentina.
The Biancocelesti are known to be seeking a midfielder, especially as Matias Vecino is out for a couple of months and there are reports Gaetano Castrovilli will terminate his contract by mutual consent in January.
Their primary target would seem to be Fazzini, who could arrive on an 18-month loan with option to buy in June 2026 for €15m.
Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio maintains the two clubs are in advanced negotiations and expect to shake hands next week.
Fazzini attracting interest within Serie A

Fazzini will turn 22 in March and is a regular in the Italy Under-21 squad, having spent his entire career at Empoli, coming through the youth academy.
His progress so far this season has been affected by injuries, making only 10 appearances between Serie A and the Coppa Italia, scoring two goals.
The midfielder has also been linked with potential Napoli and Fiorentina approaches, but Lazio would seem to have won that battle.
