What will happen to Tim Lemperle next summer? This question is currently being asked by fans of 1.FC Köln and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The 22-year-old striker’s contract in the cathedral city is expiring, and rumors about a likely move to Kraichgau have become louder in recent weeks. On Sunday, coach Gerhard Struber commented on the personnel.
“Team Lemperle will know what playing time he gets here. I hope he doesn’t take the first offer he comes across. I am sure that he still has a very successful path ahead of him at 1. FC Köln. I hope that he is well advised to take the next right steps. Because he only has one career,” said the 47-year-old after the 1-0 win at Jahn Regensburg, in which Lemperle scored the decisive goal.
In his 18th appearance this season, it was the offensive player’s ninth goal, plus four assists. These performances brought Lemperle onto the radar of Bundesliga clubs such as Hoffenheim and VfB Stuttgart. According to Sky, no decision has been made yet.

For the time being, Lemperle will no longer be able to gather arguments for interested clubs on the pitch. He had to leave the field in Regensburg after just 34 minutes; Struber confirmed a muscular injury after the game. The exact diagnosis and downtime are still pending.
