Italy international Nicolò Zaniolo answered boos from Roma fans on Monday by celebrating his goal at the Stadio Olimpico and through a cryptic Instagram post.
Atalanta striker Zaniolo scored his second goal this season in a 2-0 win over Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on Monday night.

The ex-Galatasaray and Aston Villa man had been introduced as a substitute in the second half but was welcomed by loud whistles from his ex-fans.

The 25-year-old pushed to leave Roma in the 2023 January transfer window and eventually joined Galatasaray on a permanent transfer in February.
Roma fans didn’t enjoy his behaviour and ensured the player knew their feelings when he returned to the Stadio Olimpico for the first time as an opponent.

Zaniolo replied by scoring a late goal against the Giallorossi last night and celebrated wildly even taking off his shirt under the away sector filled with La Dea supporters.
The Italian striker also rubbed salt into Roma’s wounds on Instagram, posting a picture of his celebration with geolocalization at the Stadio Olimpico and a victory hand emoji with blue and black dots.
