In a year of celebration and historical recognition of the FC Barcelonawhich turned 125 years old last Friday. An anniversary that has led to a return to the origins of the Barça club and new information on players has been discovered, some gaps that remained in the history of the Catalan club.

Without going any further, an investigation by journalist Oriol Jové, in RAC1’s ‘Tu diràs’, revealed this Monday the date and place of birth of five FC Barcelona footballers from the beginning of the century whose origins were unknown.

Carlos María ROVIRA (3 official matches in 1917). The date and place of birth have been discovered (11/04/1899 in Concordia, Argentina). What was known until now is that he was Argentine and born in 1900. With this new information, it is confirmed that Rovira is the second Argentine in the club’s history after Bori.

Rafael Morales Veloso, MORALES II (5 official matches between 1912 and 1914). Born in Madrid, until today it was believed that he was born in 1892 and the exact date is given: 09/17/1891.

Frank Albert ALLACK (3 official matches in 1913). Born in London, but the exact day was not known. Now it is: 09/25/1888. His brother Henry-Thomas was one of the promoters of football.

Henry Solomon WIHL (4 official matches in 1905). It was known that he had been born in England in 1886. Specifically, after the new discovery, it was on February 28, 1886 in Withington.

Enrique Ramón Morris de Olea, MORRIS II (4 official matches between 1904 and 1905). It was known that he had been born in Manila (Philippines) in 1874, but not the specific date, a fact that is provided today: 06/16/1876. He was one of the first football players in Barcelona. He was an aviator in the British Army in the First World War.
