FIFA has announced the list of nominees for the awards The Best FIFA Football Awards™ 2024 which will recognize the stars of another exciting year of men’s and women’s football, both for clubs and national teams.

On FIFA.com it is now possible to vote in various award categories. In this edition, fans will play a prominent role in choosing the winners. Thus, in the The Best FIFA Men’s Football Player Award, The Best FIFA Women’s Football Player Award, The Best FIFA Men’s Football Coach Award, The Best FIFA Women’s Football Coach Award, The Best FIFA Goalkeeper and The Best FIFA Goalkeeper Awardthe votes of the fans will have the same weight as those of the current captains and coaches of the men’s and women’s national teams, as well as those of media representatives.

The winner of the FIFA Fan Award will be chosen exclusively by the fans, while a panel of experts will decide the recipient of the FIFA Fair Play Award. The winners of the new FIFA Marta Award and the FIFA Puskás Award will be chosen from fans and a panel of FIFA Legends, whose vote will have equal weight.

The biggest novelty regarding the voting of this edition of The Best FIFA Football Awards™ is that fans will have the opportunity to participate in the election of The Best Award for the FIFA men’s eleven and The Best Award for the FIFA women’s eleven. Thus, fans will be able to choose their players from a list of 77 nominees (22 defenders, 22 midfielders and 22 forwards, plus eleven goalkeepers) and place them in one of the predefined tactical formations, in order to form their team. Fan votes will have the same weight as those from a panel of experts.

The FIFA Puskás Award has been reformulated and will be awarded to the scorer of the best goal in men’s football, regardless of championship or nationality. In order to honor the best goal of any women’s league on the planet, the FIFA Marta Award will be presented for the first time, named in honor of the Brazilian legend.

The deadline to vote on FIFA.com ends at 11:59 p.m. (CET) next Tuesday, December 10. The awarding rules for all prizes are available on the FIFA Digital Hub.
