The president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laportaarrived this Saturday at Azerbaijan to attend the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention United Nations about him Climate Change (COP29).
In statements to local media, Laporta He commented that “I will participate in the summit on climate and climate change. I am very happy to be here. I thank Azerbaijan for organizing this type of conference that benefits the planet. Thank you very much.”

The Barça president was received at the International Airport Heydar Aliyev by the Vice Minister of Youth and Sports, Farhad Hajiyevand other officials, as reported by AZERTAC.
Laporta traveled accompanied by Xavi Puighead of women’s football on the board, Joan Soléresponsible for youth football, and Alejandro Echevarriaa trusted person of the president. In the evening, he visited the Victory Park in Baku along with the rest of the Barça delegation.
