The Barcelona Football Club is celebrating its anniversary, 125 specifically. On the occasion of this special date, the club has published the three nominated songs to serve as the official anniversary theme. All three songs contain lyrics, and are by quite contrasting styles.
“Battles we have won, battles that we have fought,” says the lyrics of the first song, called ‘L’escut al pit’ -‘the shield on the chest’-. Without a doubt, it is the happiest of the three, with drums playing in the background and a celebratory atmosphere. “I carry the shield on my chest, my treasure,” the song ends.
The second song, called ‘A sentiment’, It is slower at first, although the rhythm goes from less to more, ending with “I don’t know the reason, I can’t explain love. “More than a club, a feeling.”
The last song to choose from is called ‘From Bressol to l’infinit’, being the calmest of the three. Like ‘L’escut al pit, it also has background drums. “From the cradle to infinity, thousands of voices make a single cry”, ends this.
Now it remains to be seen which one it is the chosen song by the club finally to officially represent them for a year as important as the 125th anniversary.
