Amine Adli and Bayer 04 Leverkusen want to continue their collaboration beyond the existing contractual relationship. This is what the “Kicker” reports. According to the magazine, talks about an extension beyond 2026 are nearing completion. It is said that both parties have come significantly closer to an agreement.
The 24-year-old winger moved from FC Toulouse to Leverkusen in 2021 for 7.5 million euros, and since then he has gradually increased his market value from 6 million euros to the current 30 million euros. Adli played 126 games for Bayer across all competitions and scored 21 goals and 22 assists – the offensive man acted as a joker 59 times. The football year 2024 is already over for Adli: he suffered a fracture in his left fibula in the 1-1 draw at Stade Brest in the Champions League.
Initially, the talks between the Werkself bosses and Adli’s advisors were said to have stalled because both sides were apparently far apart in their ideas. In the meantime, a clear rapprochement is said to have taken place. The fact that his professional player is out due to injury in no way prevents Bayer 04 from wanting to retain Adli for a longer period of time. Rather, the reigning champions emphasize their efforts to continue together. A final agreement is expected.
Like Adli, goalkeeper and captain Lukas Hradecky (34) is also tied to Bayer until 2026. Most professionals have a contract that is valid until at least 2027. Aleix García (27), Martin Terrier (27) and Jeanuël Belocian (19) have the longest term – until 2029.
