Eintracht Frankfurt’s top scorer Omar Marmoush is eyeing a move to the Premier League and his dream could soon come true. According to a Sky report, Liverpool FC is interested. Initial discussions are said to have taken place.
The people of Frankfurt are aware of the interest of the English. Given that the contract runs until 2027, Eintracht has to agree anyway if another club wants to approach the player side. According to the report, the SGE should already have a required amount in mind.
It’s about a transfer fee of 50 million to 60 million euros if Marmoush wants to leave Eintracht. The Egyptian would then climb to third place in the Hessian top sales ranking. Frankfurt also recorded income of this magnitude for the departures of Sébastien Haller and Luka Jović – two representatives of the legendary “buffalo herd” in Frankfurt. Haller brought 50 million euros into the coffers when he left Eintracht in 2019. Jović, who left in the same season, brought a total transfer fee of 63 million euros. Marmoush’s market value rose to €40 million in this month’s Bundesliga update.
Eintracht Frankfurt wants to extend with Marmoush
Marmoush is currently at the top of the top scorer list with nine Bundesliga goals and second on the scorer list with 13 goals. According to previous reports, Eintracht is already trying to extend the contract. According to the “Bild” newspaper, they want to tie Marmoush to the club for at least one or two more years. This will be accompanied by a salary increase.
The Egyptian is currently expected to earn around 2.5 million euros in base salary, and with a new signature he should move closer to the top earners of Kevin Trapp, Mario Götze and Robin Koch, who are all reportedly around 3.5 million. euros. In this way, the SGE could increase its chances of being able to keep Marmoush in Frankfurt for longer. But even if he decided to say goodbye, Eintracht could then demand a higher fee.
